Modern hot tubs include dazzling features, such as powerful jets, contoured seats, colorful LED lighting, and even waterfalls.

Hot tubs range in price depending on a wide variety of factors. Size, seating, shell and cabinet materials, and useful options and accessories all play a role, as do the manufacturer and dealer location.

The cost to install a hot tub depends on the spa itself, where you plan to place it, electrical needs, and complexity. Will you prepare the site yourself or hire professionals?

Hot tubs are very heavy and must be placed near a power source. To properly install a spa, you’ll need to prepare the area it will occupy and decide whether you’ll plug your spa into an outlet or connect it directly to your home’s central circuit breaker box. Your local dealer will deliver your spa by whatever means necessary, provide you with pre-delivery instructions, and even lead you to a trained electrician.

Hot tubs require electricity and must periodically be drained and refilled. Still, the cost of running your spa may add less to your utility bill than you think. Certain hot tub features, such as your spa’s insulation and cover, improve energy efficiency.

A high-quality hot tub is engineered and designed to last a decade or more. However, it may require service over the course of its long life. Fortunately, your local hot tub dealer will be there to help.

If you lead a busy life or don’t consider yourself mechanically inclined, you may be concerned that maintenance will be difficult or counterbalance the stress relief a hot tub provides. Fortunately, regular spa maintenance is quick and easy.

Clean water is a cornerstone of hot tub enjoyment. So, manufacturers have designed spa systems that keep the water clean and safe with a minimum amount of effort.
